DAY TWENTY SIX - BIG PICTURE IN A YEAR - THE CREATION
All people after Adam inherited his sin nature - we call this original sin. But today, let’s focus on original blessing. From the first chapter of the Bible to the last, God blesses humanity. The blessing of God is a theme like few others in Scripture, encompassing the entirety of God’s goodness to humanity. Despite this, the blessing theme is not generally well understood in Christian usage.

DAY TWENTY FIVE - BIG PICTURE IN A YEAR - THE CREATION
Please give me one more day to speak about the marvellous work of my beloved Holy Spirit. I speak here of the way he guides us and empowers us. Paul says, “All who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God” (Romans 8:14), and he speaks of Christian believers as those who are “led by the Spirit” (Galatians 5:18). -
DAY TWENTY FOUR - BIG PICTURE IN A YEAR - THE CREATION
Today we continue looking at the third person of the Trinity, the One who was actively engaged in Creation, the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is truly a creator, and a re-creator. The role that he plays in regenerating us, in making us alive again, should engender our eternal gratitude. Our rebirth is no human effort, it takes the power of the creating Holy Spirit. -

DAY TWENTY THREE - BIG PICTURE IN A YEAR - THE CREATION
The Holy Spirit guided all of the authors of Scripture so that what they wrote was not only their own words but also the words of God himself. “No prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit” (2 Pet. 1:21). But he is not the author of Scripture alone, he is also the power of God. -
DAY TWENTY TWO - BIG PICTURE IN A YEAR - THE CREATION
Just because we use the term ‘spirit’, which to us in an intangible and unknowable, we should not think of the Holy Spirit as some kind of chi or prana, merely the power or life force of God. Like the Father and the Son, the Holy Spirit is a distinct person within the eternal Trinity. This is the implication of verses that speak of the Holy Spirit as distinct from the Father and the Son (such as Matt. 28:19). -
DAY TWENTY ONE - BIG PICTURE IN A YEAR -THE CREATION
Today is the day to contemplate more deeply a subject that we’ve touched on in this study before – the manner, or modus, of God’s creation.
“In the beginning, God..”
This opening verse in Genesis is not random. In addition to introducing us to the Bible’s most important person, it also introduces us to one of His most important features: His role as the creator of all things.

DAY TWENTY - BIG PICTURE IN A YEAR - THE CREATION
Someone else was present with the Father and the Son at creation – the Holy Spirit. The second verse in the Bible indicates that the Holy Spirit (“the Spirit of God”) was present at the beginning of creation. Why would the Holy Spirit be involved in creation? Because the Holy Spirit is Divine, as much as the Father and Son are. He is known to us as the third person of the Trinity. -
DAY NINETEEN - BIG PICTURE IN A YEAR - THE CREATION
The subject of Jesus as the creating Word of God is so rich that I ask that you bear with me for one more day as we continue to delve into this fascinating subject. Why is it that John calls Jesus “the Word”? Have you ever asked yourself that – after all, it’s a very strange name for a person.

DAY SEVENTEEN - BIG PICTURE IN A YEAR - THE CREATION
Yesterday we introduced the fact that the creation was a product of the Triune God, and that the very first intimations of Trinity are found in the opening verses of the Bible. -
