Joburg City Church (JCC) is running a Foundation Stones course, starting this Tuesday, 20 July, and you're invited to join us on Zoom no matter where you are in the world.
The Foundation Stones course runs over 7 modules and helps you to get to grips with your whole Christian journey - from born-again to heavenly reward.
Based on the elementary doctrines of Ephesians 2: 19, 20 and Hebrews 6: 1, 2 the Foundation Stones course teaches everything the apostles taught the Church after the resurrection and ascension of Jesus. It is an essential course for the growing Christian. After completion of this course, participants will have a clear understanding of the faith and will also be able to explain the tenets of Christianity to someone else. This course also provides a framework for doctrinal teaching in the local church on every level.

Module 1 – The Cornerstone
This module deals with the Deity and humanity of Christ and how a revelation of His identity forms the basis of our faith.
Module 2 – The Stone of Repentance from Dead Works
This module deals with the important topic of salvation by grace through faith while also highlighting the place of good works.
Module 3 – The Stone of Faith in God
This module deals with the alternative to ‘dead works’ – putting your faith in God. It teaches what true faith is and where it comes from, and how to identify ‘false faith.’
Module 4 – The Stone of Baptisms
There are 5 different baptisms mentioned in the New Testament. This module gives participants an overview of all of them and teaches what the principle behind all baptisms are.
Module 5 – The Stone of Laying on of Hands
This module deals with how authority works in the church and how God imparts spiritual gifts and blessings.
Module 6 – The Stone of Resurrection of the Dead
This module deals with death and what happens to believers and unbelievers after death.
Module 7 – The Stone of Eternal Judgement
This module deals with what will happen at the second coming of Christ and the final judgement.

2. If I miss the first session, or any other session, can I still join?
Yes, you can join in at any stage but you will obviously miss out because these sessions are not being recorded.
3. Can I invite other people to join in?
Of course.
4. Is there a cost?
The course is free - but if you don't already have a Big Picture Workbook, you will need one. Go here to purchase from our website.
5. If I attend this Foundation Stones course via Zoom, can it count towards the OCN/Kings Cross Certificate in Theology and Biblical Studies?
Yes, if you register with us and follow the requirements in order to be able to show verification of work and attendance. Please contact us for these details.
