Day 80 - FOUNDATION STONES IN A YEAR

Peter gets a bad press as the betrayer whom the thrice-crowing rooster exposed – but let’s look a little closer.
When did the rooster crow thrice? While Peter was in the courtyard, trying to keep faith with Jesus. At least he was there – all the others (with the exception of John) had fled. But, the flesh is weak and the Spirit had not yet been given so, when faced with public association with Jesus, Peter denied knowing him.
Thank goodness that the Lord’s grace is sufficient for us – as it was for Peter when Jesus later restored him.

Thank you for your grace Lord as you daily forgive my betrayals – great and small.
