GET READY FOR THE EXILE

We hope you enjoyed our October devotions based on the United Monarchy and the Divided Kingdom modules in our Big Picture course. We are heading swiftly towards Christmas – can you believe how fast 2021 has gone?? – and we have a very special surprise for the whole family for the month of December, a digital Advent Calendar, also based on the Big Picture. We’ll tell you more about that towards the middle of November. 

We’ve now reached the point in our Big Picture in a Year studies where we must face up to the fact that God keeps His promises – AND His threats. This month’s Big Picture in a Year is devoted specifically to the period in which the people of God went into Exile in Babylon and spent 70 years there. Later, they were released from the Babylonian bondage and those who wanted to, were allowed to Return to the land.

In preparation for these Exile and Return studies why don’t you skim read through Lamentations, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Esther and the latter part of Isaiah, as well as Ezra and Nehemiah.
