Day 182 - FOUNDATION STONES IN A YEAR

For we live by faith, not by sight.

2 CORINTHIANS 5: 7

READING: 2 Corinthians 4: 13–15

So you can see that we have much to be thankful to Abraham for. Not only is he our father of faith in that he set an example of how to respond to God; his own trust in, and obedience to, God, ushered the Messiah into the world.

Faith pleases God. In fact, without faith it is impossible to please Him. And it is also impossible to receive anything from God without faith. Faith is the language of the Spirit and the channel along which God’s promises flow.

Our time spent journeying with our father of faith will have been wasted unless we have understood that ‘by faith’ is the way we connect to God while we are still here on earth. The time will come when our connection will be ‘face to face’ – but for now, it’s ‘by faith’.

PRAYER

Father, teach me how to walk ‘by faith’ so that I can stay connected to You and Your promises...all the days of my life.
