Day 161 - FOUNDATION STONES IN A YEAR

So Abram went, as the Lord had told him; and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he set out from Harran.
GENESIS 12: 4

READING: Hebrews 10: 35–39

Just as God appeared to Abram and made his appeal, we too have  experienced something even more dramatic, that ought to activate our  obedience.

The cross on which Jesus died is God “appearing” and making his appeal  that we believe just like Abram did. The Cross demonstrates the character  of God and His love and faithfulness to you. The Cross is both a picture and  a means, of salvation.

How do you receive the benefits of the Cross? Just like Abram believed and  obeyed, you too are invited to believe and obey God in order to walk into  the blessing of Gods favour that has been made available for you.

PRAYER

Lord, I praise you for the cross, and I thank you that you have shown  me your love and faithfulness through it. I ask you to open my  spiritual eyes so that I may see your love and provision more and  more.
