Day 156 - FOUNDATION STONES IN A YEAR

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we[a] have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we[b] boast in the hope of the glory of God.
Romans 5: 1-2

READING: Romans 4: 18, Romans 5: 1–11

Yesterday we looked at the many disappointments and obstacles that  Abram experienced before he even reached the land God promised him.

What is noteworthy is the fact that he continued to trust God and walk with  him all the days of his life. God has promised us a future and a hope too;  but we have to trust him in order to lay hold of the promises and see His  salvation. This is one of the finest lessons we can learn from Abram.

As we continue to look at the life of the father of our faith we must take  careful note of what his faith in God looked like so that we can learn from  him, and imitate him.

PRAYER

Father, teach me more about the great hope that I have in Christ. I  want to lay hold of your promises; I want to receive the goal of my  salvation.
