Day 130 - FOUNDATION STONES IN A YEAR

By faith Noah, being warned by God concerning events as yet unseen, in reverent fear constructed an ark for the saving of his household. By this he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.
Hebrews 11:7

Reading: Genesis 6:9-22

The world was becoming more and more evil. To the point where God was thinking of a way of pulling the plug on humanity. Almost like it is in our world at the moment. Then through the noise, God speaks to Noah. “I want you to build a boat,” God says. “Quite a large boat. Well, say 145 metres long, 26 metres wide and 15 metres high.”

You have had a hard day. You helped your wife cook dinner, you have done the dishes and locked the doors. You have just snuggled under the duvet and read a few lines of your story book when you sense a still small voice speaking. You look around the room. Only your wife lying watching her soapie with her earphones on. You close your eyes and really listen. “I want you to buy 160 acres of land and build a 500 seat conference centre on it, complete with kitchens and ablution facilities. Also, you will need accommodation units for at least 300 people. You could also build the facilities for a 50 stand caravan park, also with ablution blocks.” Now you have an idea of what Noah was thinking when God had finished giving him instructions for building the Ark.

By faith Noah started by getting the tools together.

There is only one question; what am I going to do about what God told me to do? Your question is; what has God told you to do that you have not started doing?

Prayer:

Dear God, help me build my faith like you helped Noah build the Ark.
