“the spirits of just men made perfect”
Hebrews 12: 23

Reading:   Hebrews 2: 10 - 14

But wait – there’s more! Not just justified....not just peace with God...the resurrection of Christ means that we have also been made perfect.

The book of Hebrews speaks much about this issue of perfection. It says that Jesus himself was made perfect through suffering and that this perfection is the destiny of every believer. It says that Christ is able to make perfect forever those who are being sanctified. Perfection, Christ-likeness, is the assured end of every believer; ongoing sanctification is the means to that end.

All this, thanks to Christ’s death and resurrection. Let us rest even more fully in the accomplished work of Christ on our behalf.

Lord, teach me everything there is to know about my salvation – but also, help me to walk in it more and more as each day goes by.
