FOUNDATION STONES IN A YEAR

For if, by the trespass of one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!

Romans 5: 17

For those of you who followed along last year with Big Picture in a Year, you’ll probably be delighted to discover that 2022 is going to be devoted to Foundation Stones in a Year. Over the course of 2022, we will be unpacking the fundamental doctrines of the faith in a way that will help you to engage with them afresh and reconnect on the deepest levels with the astonishing truths that anchor your soul to eternity.

We’ll be using the Foundation Stones Participant’s Workbook as our guide, so you may want to keep it handy, along with your Bible and notebook, as you come to each day’s study devotions.

Our hope is that these Foundation Stones in a Year devotions will inspire you anew to appreciation of the gracious gifts that God has bestowed on you. And more than that, will prepare you as a priest, prophet and king of the Most High God, to share your faith with others and be a powerful witness to Jesus in 2022.

As a priest, prophet and king God has called to you carry these 7 foundational truths to the world so it’s an excellent practice to be able to share them in 1 minute, 5 minutes, 1 hour, 5 hours or 14 hours! And it’s really not difficult to find opportunities to do so, because these 7 foundational truths are not in any way divorced from real life. In fact, they apply to every aspect of life. Whether someone is facing guilt, shame, regret, self-loathing, fear, sickness, or death, there is foundation stones that addressess it, explain it, and offer Divine solutions.

Our Romans 5 reading for today puts it in a nutshell for us - the Foundation Stones are primarily about helping you, and those you come in contact with, to see the truths about righteousness. When you know these things, you will live out a life of righteousness. And then you will be ready to rule. You will be steadfast and mature. You will know what to reject and what to receive. You will know what is good and what is evil.

God is looking for sons and daughters on this Earth who can live out righteousness. Will you join us tomorrow again, same place, same time, as we begin this exciting journey together?

Lord, please minister to me in a powerful way this year as I follow along with Foundation Stones in a Year.
