DAY 130 - BIG PICTURE IN A YEAR - THE EXODUS

THEN MOSES AND THE SONS OF ISRAEL SANG THIS SONG TO THE LORD, AND SAID, I WILL SING TO THE LORD, FOR HE IS HIGHLY EXALTED; THE HORSE AND ITS RIDER HE HAS HURLED INTO THE SEA

Exodus 15: 1, 2

Reading: Exodus 15: 1,2; Luke 1: 67-77

The challenge of Pharaoh’s army at the Red Sea, and God’s miraculous salvation on their behalf, left the people of God in a state of high praise and thanksgiving.

At this point, Moses and the people of God had witnessed and been a part of God’s mighty acts of deliverance and salvation. They had seen the plagues and activities of God in delivering them from Egypt and now they had seen an even bigger miracle in the crossing the Red Sea.

Moses and his sister Miriam compose a song of worship and praise, declaring the wonder and power of God in delivering them from their enemy. This song not only declares Gods glory and power but is a reminder to the people of what God has done for them. As much as it is worship it is also a testimony of God’s power and faithfulness.

Take some time today to reflect on Gods acts of deliverance in your life and praise Him!

Prayer
